Hello everyone, I know that I am starting to sound like a broken record but the finback whale sightings have been fantastic the past few days as they have been all summer. There were 7-8 large adults feeding off Head Harbour Passage today at all times of the tide as well the mother and calf pair. We had one individual this AM that went almost right around the boat, here you can see a passenger taking a close picture of the finback.
We had some amazing bald eagle sightings today as well, this picture is from our 2pm departure and this evening we saw a juvenile bald eagle fishing amongst a large group of gulls all feeding on herring, whenever the eagle would come in to fish the gulls would all clear out and give him or her LOTS of space (I took some video and I will post when I get a chance).
Thanks for checking in,
Cheers,
Danielle
