Good evening everyone. We had 2 wonderful trips today, seeing multiple minke whales on both departures. We also saw a large fin whale on our afternoon trip but I didn't manage to get any photos, it was just too rough and I was on the upper deck without my camera when we got a close, good look....hopefully tomorrow :)
We saw lots of seals on both trips today as well.
Also wanted to mention we saw our first large feeding group of northern gannets, about 15-20 birds and also some very large groups of Boneparte's gulls in Head Harbour Passage. All good news of more feed in the area.
Thanks for checking in today,
Cheers,

Minke whales and a Breezy Bay
Hello everyone, we had 2 great trips today with minke whales on both departures, and we even saw Slice in the morning. On the afternoon trip, I was not on....they had a breaching minke whale!! The breaching was from a distance and when they got closer there were 2 minkes in the area so they are not positive if it was the same whale we had breaching earlier this month.
We stopped with seals on the ledges off Casco Bay Island this morning and the grey seals were so stunning so I thought I would highlight them today.
Thanks for checking in again today,
Cheers,
Danielle

The Bay felt like a pond today
Good evening everyone, today the Bay of Fundy felt like glass, for the entire day! It was just a wonderful day to be on the water.
We saw the same large fin whale on our morning and afternoon trips today, and actually the same minke whale too (we had multiple minke whales in the afternoon) :)
We saw 3 minke whales on our evening trip.
The tide was best for seals in the morning but we saw lots of seals in the water on all of our trips today and because the conditions were so calm we were able to see porpoise everywhere we looked today.
Lots of birds too, even saw a flock of alcids (razorbills and murres) with around 50 birds.
Thanks for checking in today,
Cheers,
Danielle

It may be HOT on shore but it's cool and beautiful on the water!
Good evening all, we had another 2 wonderful trips on the water today.
Our morning trip we spent time with 2 minke whales off the entrance to Head Harbour Passage and we also saw a fin whale, although he wasn't overly cooperative we did manage to get a few good looks.
On our afternoon departure we did try and find the fin whale but we didn't have any luck so we spent our time in the warmth of the Passage and saw 3 or 4 minke whales.
We saw lots of harbour and grey seals on both departures.
We also stopped with the nesting seabirds of Whitehorse Island on each departure as well.

Today we saw 2 fin whales on both of our trips.
We also made time to stop and check out some birds
There were lots of seals and porpoise as well on both trips.
